Fire Force
Description
While the Infernals are First Generation cases of spontaneous human combustion, later generations have the ability to manipulate flames while maintaining human form. Shinra Kusakabe, dubbed Devil’s Footprints because of his power to ignite his feet at will, joins Special Fire Force Company 8, a group of fellow flames users that work to put out any Infernals they come across. Shinra begins to unravel the truth behind a mysterious fire that killed his family twelve years ago while a faction dedicated to the creation of Infernals appears.
Overview
On November 14th, 2018, the Fire Force twitter account made an official announcement about the anime. It was also revealed on the 21st of November 2018, in the 51st issue of Weekly Shnen Magazine, in a color page.
Funimation announced on Twitter on February 25, 2019, that they have claimed formal rights to the anime and will be broadcasting it on their website FunimationNow later that year.
The official Japanese and English Fire Force Twitter accounts issued a second PV on the 17th of March 2019, confirming the air date of July 6th, 2019, as well as the fact that it will be broadcast on MBS’s Japanese TV program block “Super Animeism.”
