Mist Breathing
Muichiro is a highly skilled combatant and child prodigy who holds the position of Hashira in the Demon Slayer Corps. Despite his young age, he is noted for his incredible talent and was able to achieve Hashira status after just two months of training, a feat only accomplished by Gyomei Himejima, the strongest current-generation Hashira. Muichiro has demonstrated the ability to defeat Demon Slayers older than him, such as Tanjiro Kamado and Genya Shinazugawa. After awakening his Demon Slayer Mark, Muichiro was able to easily defeat Gyokko, Upper Rank Five, even after the demon assumed his true form. His techniques were also praised by Kokushibo, Upper Rank One, for their advanced development despite his age. In the fight against Upper Rank One, Muichiro’s contributions were crucial to the demon’s defeat. He was able to unlock the Transparent World and dye his Nichirin Sword bright red, which played a pivotal role in landing a critical blow on Upper Rank One.
Muichiro’s Demon Slayer Mark was first awakened during his battle against Gyokko when his temperature reached 39 degrees Celsius and his heart rate went beyond 200 bpm. The mark appears as red mist-like designs that cover his entire body, particularly his face and arms. While the mark is active, Muichiro’s offensive and defensive abilities are increased several times over, allowing him to operate a severely poisoned body and kill an Upper Rank demon singlehandedly. However, once the mark disappears, he immediately suffers from the effects of the poison, indicating that the mark is only effective while it is manifested.
During his battle against Kokushibo, Muichiro was able to dye his Nichirin Sword bright red by gripping it tightly. This hampered the demon’s regeneration abilities and played a pivotal role in his defeat. Muichiro also obtained the ability to see the Transparent World during this battle, similar to Tanjiro. This allowed him to see his opponent’s muscles, blood flow, and joint movements, aiding him in landing a hit on the Upper Rank demon and creating an opportunity for his allies to kill him.
Muichiro’s senses are highly honed, allowing him to perceive things outside the normal range of human perception. For example, he can discern the aura of a demon from that of a human.
