Son Goku
Goku bears a striking resemblance to his father, sharing the same spiky black hairstyle, deep dark eyes, and facial features. However, his eyes possess a gentler quality, his demeanor exudes kindness, and his skin tone is lighter and more pale due to his mother’s influence. The most notable feature of Goku’s appearance is his hair, which consists of three bangs on the right side of his forehead and two on the left. The front of his hair stands tall with four spikes, while the back has three bangs (later, he gains five spikes in the front and four in the back). His birth included the distinctive tail characteristic of Universe 7 Saiyans, characterized by its long and dexterous nature, covered in brown fur. This tail was removed and regrown multiple times during his early years, but in his late teens, it was permanently taken out by Kami to prevent his Great Ape transformation.
At the age of 12, Goku was notably short and appeared even younger than his actual age, leading others to assume he was under 10 years old. This perception was reinforced by his somewhat simple-minded nature. Over the next few years, Goku’s physical changes were minimal, though his muscles became more defined. By the time he reached 15, he started experiencing noticeable growth in height. At 18, he underwent a significant growth spurt, surpassing the stature of some of his friends and acquiring a well-built physique. Notably handsome, as recognized by several women, including Bulma and Heles, these physical transformations made him almost unrecognizable from before, with only his familiar naïve personality and trademark hairstyle serving as identifying traits. Around the age of 25, Goku experienced another growth spurt, achieving a height similar to that of his taller human companions and a much more muscular build.
Goku’s penchant for training has led him to consistently don his training Gi. In the beginning, he wore an open blue gi fastened with a white bow-tied obi at his waist, accompanied by red wristbands, dark blue kung fu shoes, and a tank top. After training under Master Roshi, Goku switched to the standard Turtle School Uniform, characterized by a closed red gi (later orange) secured by a black knot-tied obi, along with blue wristbands and kung fu shoes. Master Roshi’s kanji adorned the back and front-left side of his shirt. Afterward, following training with Kami and Mr. Popo, Goku combined a black short-sleeved undershirt (later dark blue) with his gi, complemented by dark blue boots featuring a yellow border and red laces. His outfit also displayed King Kai’s kanji following his training under him. During the conflict on Planet Namek, Goku’s gi bore his personal kanji on both sides of the shirt. For the Android and Majin Buu battles, he sported a simpler version of this gi, devoid of any kanji, accompanied by a blue sash-style obi at the waist. The dark blue undershirt, wristbands, and boots from the previous gi remained, now featuring a red border and yellow/tan laces. This outfit continued into Dragon Ball Super, along with the reinstatement of his personal kanji on both sides of the gi shirt.
When initially training under Whis, Goku donned a loose and traditional orange gi. This attire featured Whis’ kanji on the front-left of the shirt, held together with a blue obi knotted to the left side of his waist. He also wore blue wristbands that extended along most of his forearms and blue boots clasping together on the front of his shins.
