The protagonist of the manga series Oshi no Ko is Aquamarine Hoshino, also known as Aqua. Formerly known as Gorou Amamiya, Aqua was a healthcare provider who became interested in idols after treating a patient named Sarina Tendoji, who shared his passion. He particularly admired Ai Hoshino, a member of the disbanded idol group B-Komachi. Aqua was reborn alongside his twin sister Ruby Hoshino, who was previously Sarina, and became Ai’s child in his new life.
Although Aqua was bewildered by his new situation, he was grateful to be Ai’s child. His humorous and talkative nature, which irritated many people, also earned him praise from filmmaker Taishi Gotanda for his ability to talk. These talents served him well throughout his life. Aqua lived a luxurious life as the child of a famous idol and enjoyed watching his mother perform. Unfortunately, his happy life came to an end when a deranged fan of Ai committed a terrible act against his family.
