Muichiro, a young boy with a short stature and a lean, muscular build, has long, straight black hair that fades into mint green towards the end, reaching his waist. Muichiro has immense respect for his master Kagaya Ubuyashiki, but this isn’t the case for everyone he encounters. However, before his twin brother’s death, Muichiro was a compassionate and optimistic individual, the opposite of his current personality. After his brother’s death, Muichiro lost his memories and became driven by suppressed rage, leading to intense training and the eventual development of his current indifferent attitude.

Muichiro is a highly skilled and powerful fighter as a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps. Despite his young age, he achieved Hashira status after only two months of training, a feat only accomplished by Gyomei Himejima, the strongest current Hashira. He easily overpowers older Demon Slayers like Tanjiro Kamado and Genya Shinazugawa. Muichiro awakens his Demon Slayer Mark during his fight with Upper Rank Five, Gyokko, when his temperature reaches 39 degrees Celsius and his heart rate exceeds 200 bpm. The mark appears as red, mist-like designs all over his body, and enhances his offensive and defensive abilities by several times their usual strength, allowing him to operate a severely poisoned body and defeat an Upper Rank alone. However, once the mark disappears, he immediately begins to suffer from the effects of the poison, indicating that the mark’s effects are only temporary. Muichiro’s fighting techniques are highly praised and even recognized by Kokushibo, Upper Rank One. He later unlocks the Transparent World and the ability to dye his Nichirin Sword red, which played a crucial role in Upper Rank One’s defeat.
