AKAZA

The only people I hate are weaklings. I only spit in the faces of the weak. Yes. I’m repulsed by weaklings. They make me vomit. The laws of nature dictate that they will be eliminated.
~ Akaza

In the manga and anime series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Akaza is a significant antagonist. He is a demon who serves Muzan Kibutsuji directly as Upper Rank Three of the Twelve Kizuki. Muzan personally converted Akaza into a Demon over a century ago when he was a human named Hakuji.

He first appeared as the final enemy of the Mugen Train Arc, and was enraged with Tanjiro after Muzan chastised him for not being able to take his own life. Later, he fought Giyu and Tanjiro to death in the Infinity Fortress, but not before recalling his history and killing himself as an act of regret, eventually rejoining with his loved ones as his life faded away.

Akaza assumed the appearance of a strong young man with skin that appeared bright green-tinged white and was adorned with a pattern of thick blue lines that resembled the criminal tattoos he had as a human. A blue line stretched from the middle of his hairline to the bridge of his nose, with two more lines extending around his neck and three others branching off the lower one to his torso.

The center line continued straight down his chest to halfway down his stomach, while the other two branched off to the sides across either side of his chest to join the other two lines, with the same three-line pattern repeating around his waist.

Lines flowed down the front of his shoulders, merging into two more that went around his biceps before continuing down to his wrists, where each of his fingers was dark blue with an orange fingernail, and his toes shared this odd appearance.

Since transforming into a demon, Akaza’s martial arts abilities have skyrocketed. His hands were so strong that they sliced through Rengoku like a sharpened knife. He advanced to the top levels of demons without devouring any women, and he was confident enough to say that he would one day surpass Kokushibo. He may have forgotten about his human past, but his ambition to get stronger remained till the very end.

His regenerating skills and durability are unmatched by any other demon we’ve encountered. Even after losing his head in his fight with Tanjiro and Tomioka, he fought back. There was no way of beating the monster in a fair combat if he hadn’t volunteered his death. His capacity to perceive another person’s battle spirit from afar is the key to his quick reflexes. He was aware of every strike he blocked even before his opponent was aware of it. When it comes to Akaza’s Blood Demon art, it perfectly complements his Soryu Style combat, resulting in extremely penetrating shock waves. He has the ability to control shock waves in whatever way he wants, greatly enhancing the power of his punches. The shockwaves are a light blue color.
